Tegra NOTE 7 LTE

NVIDIA has announced a new LTE-enabled variant of their Note 7 tablet. The connected version of the device features the company’s i500 LTE modem and will be available starting in Q2 of this year.

The original Tegra Note 7 launched last November and features an NVIDIA Tegra 4 CPU, 7-inch display, 5MP camera, and 16GB of storage for $199. The device also ships with its own stylus and includes features like palm rejection. The tablet shipped with Jelly Bean but has since received an upgrade to Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The Tegra Note 7 LTE will feature the same hardware and specs, the only major difference being the inclusion of its LTE modem. That modem, developed by NVIDIA, promises greater performance and efficiency, offering 4x the processing capabilities of the previous generation at 40 percent size.

The launch of the Tegra Note 7 LTE will also see availability expand to several new regions. These include Western Europe, Brazil, and Ukraine. The addition of LTE support doesn’t come cheap, however. When the slate launches look for it to sell for $299, a full hundo over the price of the WiFi version.

  1. I really think cameras on tablets is pointless. Please just remove cameras in favor of more storage

    1. in TN7 case the inclusion of camera is to showcase their tegra 4 chimera capabilities. idk how important camera on tablet but if its not then nexus 7 2013 would not have them unlike the original nexus 7

    2. A tablet camera provides simple on-board means of visual input. Even at low resolution, it can still capture a moment, log receipts, provide an instant means of memory recall etc. Those obsessed with self image may not lower their standards to the point of risking looking goofy catching a shot. The rest of us will save a thousand words, snap the shot and worry about more important issues.

    3. Im fine with cameras on tablets. they have their place. sometimes u already have your tablet out and you quickly need to take a photo, why fumble around for your phone or camera n maybe miss the shot when u can just use the tablet.? Now people who use their tablet asif it were their main camera… *cough*my sister*cough* I just dont get…

My big camera complaint for any device is, their is no reason to ever have a camera without a flash unless its front facing……
