Better late than never, right? Sprint has opened pre-orders for the LG G2, a phone that has been available from AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile since last month. $99 reserves your spot on the list of folks receiving the device on or before it becomes available in stores on November 8th.
Actually, Sprint is saying they will “do [their] best to get it to you before others get a glimpse,” which lacks an air of confidence normally associated with pre-order release dates. Mitigating expectations, we suppose.
If you act quickly, Sprint is supplying a free QuickWindow case for those pre-ordering the G2 (while supplies last). Or you could get the phone today from any of the aforementioned US carriers already stocking the handset. Chances are you won’t be disappointed.

I would love to, but DAT UI.
Yeah, I could always put a ROM on it, but my wife wouldn’t want to, and I don’t want to saddle her with this.
UI just doesn’t make any sense… they could have done so much better. Its hideous.
It’s not that bad. I transitioned from Touchwiz on the Epic 4G Touch(GS 2) to the Optimus UI on the Optimus G just fine…in fact there were several things that were improvements over Samsung’s software. Other than a few minor differences, they are very similiar.
The big difference is going from stock/Cyanogen to LG’s UI… There are a ton of minor annoyances and less efficient navigation etc..
I’m hoping LG is just waiting for 4.4 to start a major rehaul from the ground up on their UI.
Indeed but honestly the only complaints I have seen about the UI was the looks, not performance. Heck even on my L9 it runs smooth.
Agreed, I was browsing a bit on XDA, and I found a lot of people seem to really like LG’s UI for it’s functionality.
Always better late than never.
Wow. November 8th…..how dumb is Sprint on this one? The Nexus 5 will have released by then……this one got released too late for sure. It’s a shame too, I really like the G2.
This is a tri-band LTE phone for Sprint. WAY better than it being out at the same time as the others but only being single-band LTE.
Worth the wait for it on Sprint.
Yeah I agree, just wish it was coming this month
The Nexus 5 will likely be tri-band on Sprint too. That is, if it is the LG D820
Right now it’s all rumors that the Nexus 5 will be out in October. I don’t think it will because Google will give people at least 2 weeks for a launch event so the media can make travel arrangements and move things around. No way it’s launched next week unless Google is going to stream the event with no media. I doubt it’s out by the 8th of Nov also, maybe Dec? Personally, I’m getting the white G2, I had ordered from Verizon because I was so upset with Sprint, but decided to hang in a little longer because of the pricing since I have 5 lines. If the Nexus 5 comes out in a month or 2 I’ll just pick that up to and give my G2 to one of my kids or sell it to recoup my costs.
I was going to pre-order this phone, but lucky me I won one in a contest now I’m just waiting for it to arrive. Now with the dollars i have saved I can just buy the Nexus 5 and enjoy the best of both worlds.
:O Lucky you, man I’ve been trying to win a G2 as well.. haha
Congrats, hope you enjoy it
