In case you haven’t heard, the folks at Tapatalk have finally made the beta for version 4 of their forum-dwelling application available to those who aren’t Tapatalk VIPs. Tapatalk HD 4 makes the mobile experience much better for those who are on phones with Android 4.0 or higher, as they have introduced a great new Holo user interface that incorporates some of the card-style design language Google is fond of.
This fully featured app will allow you to browse communities such as the huge one thriving over at AndroidForums.com. You can use the app to get a bite-sized taste of all the discussion taking place about different Android phones and tablets, Android apps, carriers, and a whole lot more. Be sure to grab yourself an account if you haven’t already, and download Tapatalk HD from the Google Play Store to get the most convenient and pain-free experience you can to take it all in on the go.
Still very buggy. I have to keep signing back in to XDA, and it is listed three times now. Once with my username properly capitalized, once lower case, and again as a guest.
Hmm, not sure if that’s just an XDA issue or what. Haven’t used the app with my XDA account yet. Works great for AndroidForums, though!
I think you may be right, but I’m not sure why an upgrade would make it go so haywire. And you’re right about AndroidForums working, although I’m not sure if I’m getting notifications. Only running it on my Tab 2 right now, I’ll wait for an update or two before putting it on my S3.
Hopefully the xda app will follow suit soon as it sorely needs an update
