We would have immediately dismissed this as nothing more than a cruel April Fools prank, but the fact that they’re not being offered until April 30th is making us scratch our chins. Also, you may remember the incredibly strict NDA attached to Glass for developers attending the Glass Foundry hack-a-thons a few weeks back, where apparently nobody left the Foundry owning a pair of Glass for themselves. We can’t help but wonder if this would be a clear violation of Google’s NDA (no duh), causing Glass to possibly self destruct upon detecting a new user. The question I now ask you is… if this isn’t just another April fools prank, would any of you rent Google Glass at these rates?

  1. If this is true I would definitely do a 10 day trial

    1. 10-Day trial? Where is this trial?

  2. $1500 …

I’m throwing a Google Glass party. $5 to get in and everyone gets to play with it for a while. 3 day party, just looking to break even on the rental. Beverages will be supplied. Chicks get in for free.

    1. Threw an extra zero in there. Thanks.

    2. Ass, grass, or cash, everyone pays.

    3. Joseph. I just agree… Norman`s report is really great, I just bought a gorgeous Citroën 2CV since I been earnin $4521 this-last/4 weeks and-more than, $10k last-month. this is actually the nicest work Ive ever done. I began this seven months/ago and almost immediately started to bring home at least $74, per-hour. I use the details on this web-site…….. BIT40.ℂom

  3. Oh… I don’t know how this makes me think. I’ll just wait until it shows in person.

  4. What a waste of money! imagine if someone rented them and broke them the same day. It will most likely happen to some unlucky bastard.

    1. Some unlucky bastard? I guarantee almost every single Glass user will eat dirt at least once before they can walk with it.
      And yeah, April Fools!

  5. Nice one Chris… You had me for a second :)

  6. Would be more believable if you had a source link. Nice try Mr. Chavez :P

    1. It’s in the post!

  7. Yeah, ill go ahead and do the 3 day rental with insurance. Get myself a new pair of Google Glass for 140 bucks. Sure beats out the 1500 price tag. Might get a second pair at that cost.

    1. Looks like 12% for the claim. So maybe 300 for a pair. Ill just stick with the one pair then :)

  8. Honestly, at the price Google Glass has been announced for and these rental fees, I just don’t think it’s going to be worth it in the end. Electronics need to be affordable for the general public to latch onto them. Just look at the adoption of smartphones, DVD players, and game consoles. Once the prices drop, the public buys into it. Google Glass is going to have to sell in the sub $500 range for anyone to be interested and even then it’s a crap shoot. We have high quality bluetooth headsets, smartwatches, and even decent smartphones for less than $200. I’m not feeling very confident about Glass as time goes on.
