The Motorola Xyboard might be oft forgotten by some, but Motorola isn’t letting their latest tablet go the way of the dinosaur any time soon. As of today, the update to Android 4.0.4 is available for both the 10.1-inch and 8.2-inch WiFi models. The new software should reach users as an over-the-air update, and features a host of changes stemming from the upgrade to the new, but not newest, version of Android. Highlights include Face Unlock, a better browsing experience, multi-tasking and an improved launcher, as well as general stability improvements. Is the Xyboard better than the Galaxy Tab? Any owners can tell me?
The original Tab? Definitely.
Sorry, I should have specified, the 10.1, because to me the original 7 inch was just an oversized galaxy S.
This would be great news if any actually sold….;-P
Man that stupid name still makes me want to punch babies.
I’ve got a DROID XYBOARD 10.1 & appreciate the upgrade to ICS 4.0.4,VERY NICE!
Perhaps an unlocked bootloader &/or an upgrade to JELLY BEAN 4.1 is in the cards, but, definitely like what I see w/ICS & I’m content w/it for now.
And my poor old Xoom is running 4.1. Sorry, guys.
