Google’s Newest Pixel Update Fixes a Worrisome Issue

It’s that time of the month again – Google has finally rolled out the August 2024 software update for its Pixel devices, which brings some much-welcome bug fixes to several Google -branded smartphones. This includes devices such as the Pixel 5a, Pixel 6 series phones, Pixel 7 series, Pixel 8 models, as well as the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold.

In the case of the Pixel 6 and 6a, Google says that the update addresses an issue which has caused countless Pixel 6 devices to enter into a bootloop error following a factory reset. The issue has been a thorn in many users’ sides, although the August update should sort things out. In addition to this, the update also addresses the following:

Display & Graphics
System
User Interface

With all that being said, the new update should hopefully be able to give Pixel 6, 6 Pro and 6a users a fix, especially given Google’s marketing of its phones as devices built for long-term usage. Users can check for updates by heading into their Settings app, heading into System and taping on Software Updates.
