Samsung Galaxy Ring pricing and availability revealed

Following the rumors and leaks, Samsung finally unveiled the Galaxy Ring earlier this year. But the company stopped short of sharing the details about the device, including how much it could cost and when it would become available. If you’re curious, Samsung has since announced those details at its recent Galaxy Unpacked event.

Starting with price, the Samsung Galaxy Ring will not come cheap. It is priced starting at $399.99, which is considerably more expensive than the Galaxy Watch 7 even though it doesn’t come with a display. This isn’t to say it won’t appeal to anyone, but it is pricey for what it is. But if you prefer not wearing a watch and want something more minimal and subtle, this could be a good alternative.

In terms of specs and features, the Galaxy Ring is ultimately similar to a smartwatch in terms of functionality. It offers 24/7 health monitoring and can track things like sleeping patterns, your heart rate, respiratory rate, and more. It is made using Grade 5 Titanium and has 10ATM water resistance, so going swimming with it should be fine.

Samsung claims that the wearable has up to seven days of battery life, and it also comes with a charging/carrying case if you don’t want to wear it all the time. As expected, it will play nicely with Samsung’s ecosystem so if you want a wearable that can track your health and fitness and relay it back to an app, this could be it.

The Galaxy Ring is available for pre-order starting today with general availability starting on the 24th of July. It is available in Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold finishes, and there are also nine size options to choose from.
