One UI 6.1 still causing excessive battery drain

0

From time to time, newly-released updates can cause a variety of issues on phones. Unfortunately, Samsung users are still reporting that following the release of One UI 6.1, they are still experiencing higher than normal battery drain on their smartphones.

The update was initially released for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 5 phones back in March. It was supposed to be a welcome update with the introduction of Galaxy AI to the phones. However, many users started to report that the batteries on their phones were going down a lot faster than expected.

Now, sometimes excessive battery drain following an update is to be expected. There could be a lot of things going on behind the scenes that could cause battery drain to happen. But it seems that the issue hasn’t gone away as users are still complaining about it till this date. Interestingly enough, one phone that hasn’t been affected, or at least not as affected, is the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Samsung has yet to acknowledge the issue. We’re pretty sure they are aware of it, but whether they are working on a fix is unclear. Hopefully a future update will address this problem, but for now, it looks like users will have no choice but to just deal with it.
