Samsung offers free screen replacements for phones affected by green lines in display

0

Recently it was reported that some Samsung devices were affected by green lines in its display following an update. This is not the first time Samsung devices have been affected by this issue, but it looks like the company is trying to address it by offering affected customers a free, one-time screen replacement.

Unfortunately, if you live in the US or any other part of the world, you’re not covered. This offer seems to be only available in India and it is only valid for select handsets. This includes Samsung’s flagship lineup that includes the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, and Galaxy Note 20 series.

Samsung also says that it will apply to devices if they were purchased within the last three years. It’s interesting that Samsung is offering a hardware replacement. Prior to this, we had assumed it was a software issue as the green lines appeared on Samsung display after an update.

This means that it could be bad enough to warrant an actual screen replacement. Hopefully Samsung will extend this offer to other regions. In the meantime, our readers in India with affected devices can get in on this offer. They will need to submit their claim before the 30th of April.
