Google Pixel 8a spotted on US Cellular’s website

We’ve been seeing leaks and hearing rumors about the Google Pixel 8a for a while now. Google themselves haven’t confirmed anything yet, but it seems that someone at US Cellular has. According to a post on X by tipster Evan Blass, it looks like the Pixel 8a was spotted on the carrier’s website.

The post on US Cellular’s website was for a tutorial/guide on how to use the Pixel 8a. Seeing as the handset hasn’t been officially announced yet, it’s safe to say that someone at the carrier got a little excited. The website shows an image of the phone, but seeing as it’s the front of the device, it’s hard to tell if this is the actual phone or just a placeholder.

Google will most likely announce the Pixel 8a at Google I/O 2024. The event has been confirmed to take place on the 14th of May. While Google has kept mum on what the event will showcase, based on past releases, there’s a good chance the Pixel 8a will make an appearance. It is also expected that Google could unveil other devices like the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2.

The rumored specs of the upcoming Pixel handset include the use of Google’s Tensor G3 chipset. Previous leaks have suggested that Google could maintain the large bezels from the Pixel 7a. It has also been suggested that the cameras could remain the same as the Pixel 7a. It’s not a bad thing as Google’s camera software more than makes up for its hardware. Either way, we’ll know soon enough.
