Motorola teases new smartphone with AI features

0

With smartphone hardware peaking, smartphone makers need to find new ways to impress. For 2024, we imagine that it will come in the form of AI. It looks like Motorola is getting ready to hop on the AI bandwagon with its next smartphone, according to a recent teaser on Weibo for the Moto X50 Ultra.

Not much is known about the handset right now, but given how it mentions AI, we imagine that it will come with some AI software features. Motorola wouldn’t be the first to bring AI to smartphones. We have Google to thank for that. Samsung’s new Galaxy S24 series launched this year with its Galaxy AI platform.

Apple has also confirmed that they are working on AI features that should debut in iOS 18 and the iPhone 16. It will be interesting to see what kind of AI features Motorola could include in the smartphone. More importantly, how it will fare against existing AI or if it will end up being a mess.

That being said, keep in mind that the Moto X-series could be exclusive to China. It might debut in global markets under a different name, so we’ll just have to wait and see. Motorola has also teased a possible launch date for the phone. The company has included the F1 China Grand Prix hashtag. The event takes place on the 21st of April, so maybe we’ll have more details then.
