The Realme Note could be bringing back what Samsung gave up

0

It has been a few years since Samsung officially abandoned their Note series of smartphones, but it looks like Realme could be gearing up to pick up where Samsung left off. A post on X by Realme has teased the arrival of a new Note series of smartphones, and a subsequent leak has revealed its potential specs.

X user @ThisGood15 shared the leaked slides on the website where it is revealed that the handset could be known as the Realme Note 1. The slide compares the upcoming phone against competitors with Note phones of their own, namely Infinix and Redmi.

Assuming the leaked slide is accurate, the Realme Note 1 could come with a 6.67-inch FHD OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also uses the D7050 chipset, which presumably refers to the MediaTek Dimensity 7050. This suggests that it won’t be a particularly high-end smartphone. Other specs include a triple camera setup with a 108MP main shooter accompanied by an 8MP and 2MP sensor.

The Realme Note 1 could also pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. The comparison of the Note 1 against the competitors doesn’t suggest that the handset will stand out too much. It also does not mention if there will be stylus support, which was one of the Samsung Note’s defining features.

We should have more details soon as Realme is planning on making the announcement on the 24th of January.
