Samsung Announces VXT, a New Digital Display Management Solution

0

Just days before the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung announced that it was launching its new Visual eXperience Transformation (VXT) Platform, a cloud-native Content Management Solution (CMS) that will allow users and businesses to take control of their digital displays, as well as content.

The growing focus on integrating cloud technologies into different industries in the past few years has led to a rise of cloud-based software and digital platforms, as seen on recent consumer electronics hardware and software products. Commenting on VXT, Alex Lee, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics states:

“Cloud migration is an unstoppable trend… VXT is an innovative step toward this migration in that it makes high-tech signage more readily accessible, no matter where our customers are. But not only is high-tech signage accessible, the content and remote management solutions VXT provides are user-friendly.”

Essentially, Samsung VXT is designed for seamless content creation and management of B2B displays including LCD, LED signage and such. With cloud access, VXT streamlines the deployment and updating of software directly reducing the need for manual updates. This includes a simple 6-digit pairing code that allows for quick and secure setup between devices.

Samsung VXT consists of three CMS modules: VXT CMS, VXT Canvas and VXT Players, and Samsung adds that each module makes content creation and screen management “easier than ever.” The platform is also compatible with desktop and mobile devices, making management easier whenever a user might be.

Samsung will hold a global launch event of VXT on January 31 at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2024 in Barcelona. It should be noted that it’s not a free service – as such, VXT will be accessible through various subscription plans with both monthly and annual options, and will initially roll out for the United States.
