App outages aren’t anything unusual – most probably take within a day to get up and working again, but in the case of apps that track your health and fitness, it’s essential that your app continues to work 24/7. With that being said, several Fitbit app users have reported trouble using the app, including accessing their metrics and syncing with devices.
Fitbit has acknowledged the issue, saying that it’s currently investigating user reports regarding the app outage. According to a post on its official social media page:
We're aware that some customers are experiencing issues with the Fitbit app and we are currently investigating. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, thank you for your patience!

This outage follows the public announcement of the redesigned Fitbit app during the Made by Google product showcase a week ago, as well as the announcement of the new Fitbit Charge 6 tracker. Back in March, users also reported problems getting the app to work, as well as issues with syncing.
Going back to the current app outage, users should keep an eye out on their Fitbit app in case the issue finally becomes resolved.
