Konami’s Silent Hill franchise is one of the more well-known series in the horror genre. Typically released on PC or console devices, mobile gamers might be pleased to learn that Konami has announced that they will be bringing a new Silent Hill title to mobile devices in the form of Silent Hill: Ascension.

The game was originally announced back in October 2022, but now it looks like it is nearing completion as the company has announced that it will be released on the 31st of October, 2023 and gamers who are interested will be able to pre-register their interest and be notified when the game is available for download.

Silent Hill: Ascension will be a choose-your-own-adventure type of game meaning that your progression in the game will depend on the choices you make. It will feature daily live story scenes and what makes it interesting is that it will be livestreamed, meaning that the audience gets to participate, kind of similar to how streamers on Twitch host Let’s Play events.

It sounds interesting, although we’re sure that there are some who might have hoped for a full-fledged game on their mobile devices. Either way, if you’re a fan of the franchise then this could be something to look out for.
