For those who are simply rolling their eyes about the concept of Elon Musk charging user fees over on X /Twitter, I have good news! Threads is still a thing! It’s still alive! Even more importantly, it’s being updated to have new features.

A post made by the official Threads account talks users through the process of adding more than one profile on mobile. This means that users can have one dedicated professional profile for when they are at work. Then have a personal profile for when it’s time to clock out. This would also be perfect for those who are doing things like running multiple accounts for different businesses.
However, if you feel you’re not getting the most out of threads, we can help! We have a guide for some of the best tips and tricks to make the most of your account.
Leaks and leaks and more leaks

Arguingly more interesting, is as always the potential leaks. Known leaker Alessandro Paluzzi over on X has showcased a small snippet of a screenshot of the potential edit button. The screenshot shows the options of what to do with a thread; like if you were to delete a thread or curate who replies. The newest button on the list is a grey “edit” button. Surprisingly, this button seems to be time-locked if the time counter beside it is to be a countdown timer.
A timer for editing a post has been popularised as an option for those who wish to amend small typos or other errors quickly. Typically, its counterparts like Twitter/X have not had the ability to amend or edit any of their posts. The ability or lack thereof has been subject to great debate. However, it remains to be seen whether Threads was using this as a test timer or if 5 minutes is the final cut-off point.
