No change in the Samsung Galaxy S24’s charging speeds

While we’re seeing more phones released with insane charging speeds, for fans of Samsung and who might be hoping we see some improvements to the company’s next flagship series, you might be disappointed to learn that will not be happening.

According to a report from MySmartPrice, certification spotted on the 3C website in China has revealed the charging speeds of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 series, and like we said, there doesn’t appear to be any changes to its speeds.

The base Galaxy S24 model will offer 25W charging over a wired connection, while the Galaxy S24+ and Ultra models will come with 45W charging. This is essentially the same charging speeds as the current Galaxy S23 series. This is highly disappointing because like we said, other phone makers have started to push out some pretty crazy speeds, so it is unclear why Samsung is sticking to these “slower” speeds.

That being said, in all fairness 25W and 45W isn’t too bad. It is fast enough where if you need to squeeze out a couple more hours from your handset, you can, but given that the phones are being released in 2024, those speeds do feel kind of slow in comparison to what the competition is putting out there.
