You can Soon Get the Nintendo Switch in a Fancy New Color

0

At this point, the Nintendo Switch is more than six years old, although that hasn’t exactly stopped Nintendo from launching special color editions of its hybrid handheld-home console. As such, Nintendo recently announced that a new variant will soon be available for purchase.

More specifically, the Nintendo Switch OLED will soon be available in a “Mario Red” edition, which will be sold starting October 6. The new edition was announced during the Super Mario Wonder Direct, which was streamed earlier today via YouTube. In addition to the red design, the console’s dock will also come with a little Mario insignia on the rear corner, in addition to little dotted coins just underneath the dock’s panel.

With that being said, this new edition of the Switch will come with the same specs as on the regular model, including a custom NVIDIA Tegra chipset, 64GB of expandable storage, a 7-inch 720p OLED touch display, as well as Bluetooth and Wifi connectivity.

Recently, it was rumored that a Switch successor was shown to select individuals during Gamescom 2023, although no official confirmation has been made regarding this.
