HONOR’s Magic V2 Gets Assembled from Scratch in YouTube Video

0

At this point in time, there’s no shortage of smartphone coverage on YouTube, with the platform being one of the biggest sites to find information on all your favourite tech. With that said, it looks like we’ve seen a pretty unique approach to the HONOR Magic V2, in what is probably one of the most unconventional smartphone YouTube videos ever.

More specifically, YouTube creator JerryRigEverything – known for his smartphone durability and teardown videos – recently featured HONOR’s new foldable, the Magic V2 in an assembly video. The device was sent to the channel unassembled, all the way from the internal components down to the folding mechanisms, screens, and external chassis.

The video also compared some design elements between the Magic V2 versus the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, which is Samsung’s latest foldable Android device for 2023.

Going back to the Magic V2, it’s rather interesting to see the internal workings of foldable devices, especially since they’re just starting to gain more market traction worldwide. The phone’s biggest highlights are its titanium hinge design which the company says is made to be durable, as well as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip inside, one of the best mobile SoCs for 2023.
