We’ve been hearing rumors that Samsung is apparently interested in expanding its wearables lineup where in addition to smartwatches and earbuds, they might also create health/fitness-focused rings.
In a recent report from The Elec, it seems that the rumored Galaxy Ring is now one step closer to completion. The report claims that Samsung is close to finalizing the parts for the Galaxy Ring with its domestic and international suppliers, and apparently mass production could kick off as soon as next month.
This means that assuming there are no delays or issues with production, the earliest we could see the ring might be next year, and we suppose CES 2024 could be a good place to show it off. Alternatively, Samsung usually hosts their own event at the start of the year to announce its new flagship Galaxy phones, so that’s another possible launch date.
So far Samsung hasn’t confirmed the existence of the device itself, which is par for the course for most companies who are working on new and upcoming products, but there have been signs that suggests that such a device could be in the works. The company had previously filed for a trademark for the “Galaxy Ring” moniker, but it’s hard to tell if this is an indication of what’s to come or Samsung simply trying to protect their intellectual property.
