5 Reasons to be Excited for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5!

0

Samsung’s Galaxy foldables have been among the company’s most popular devices to date, giving the public a better example of the benefits of using a foldable, and managing to build a large following in the process as well. With that said, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 is only a few days away from its grand public unveiling, and there’s a good chance that many Samsung fans and foldable enthusiasts are looking forward to what Samsung has to offer with its newest fold device.

So just what exactly can we expect from the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5? Let’s take a look.

Improved Hinge Design

Foldable fanatics will be thrilled to know that Samsung has improved the Z Fold5’s hinge design, at least according to a set of images leaked online. The images were originally shared by tipster Ahmed Qwaider on Twitter, alleging that the Z Fold 5 will have a much lessened gap when closed, which would hopefully result in a much cleaner design overall.

The images have since been taken down, but if proven true, then Samsung can finally contend with other foldables on a design standpoint, as shown by devices like the Honor Magic Vs which come with tighter-shutting hinges.

Faster Chipset

It’s very much expected that the Galaxy Z Fold5 will feature the almighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the same SoC that’s powering the galaxy S23 series phones. It’s nothing short of impressive, and a variety of leaks strongly predict that Samsung will feature the chip in its latest foldable devices.

In addition to this, other leaks claim that Samsung will also equip the Z Fold 5 with 12GB of RAM as well as up to 1TB of internal storage, which should be more than enough for a lot of users looking to get the most out of their foldable, whether it be for entertainment or productivity.

Lots of Deals!

It’s no secret that smartphone buyers in the US get some of the best deals on brand new devices, and Samsung phones are of course no exception. If you were looking to grab the Galaxy Z Fold5, Samsung is currently running a promo right now for interested buyers who’d like to get their hands on the new foldable, at a slightly lower price.

A Familiar Look

If you were a big fan of the Z Fold4, then you’re in luck – a majority of leaks have pointed to the Z Fold5 retaining a similar look and feel, and besides the improved hinge it seems that Samsung is looking to keep things consistent, at least with this generation. It’s something that we’ve seen on devices like the iPhone 14 and Galaxy S23 Ultra, which do little to distinguish themselves from their predecessors.

The Z Fold5’s display specs are very similar to the previous generation as well, and it’s expected that the phone will feature an external screen that measures 6.2-inch with FHD+ resolution, and a 7.6-inch QXGA+ AMOLED folding display with a 120Hz refresh rate – these specs were earlier on alleged by tech tipster Yogesh Brar, who’s had a very impressive track record so far.

A Clean-looking Display

This last bit might not be a major deciding factor should you consider the Z Fold5, but the supposed inclusion of an under-display selfie camera has us excited, as it means that we’re getting the same clean look on the inner display as the Z Fold4. This is something that other foldable devices have yet to incorporate, and if confirmed it would certainly be nice to Samsung retain the feature.
