Logitech Acquires Finnish Company Loupedeck

While most folks will know the Logitech brand from its wide range of PC and gaming accessories, the company has also expanded its offerings to include equipment geared towards streaming and content creation. With that in mind, Logitech recently announced that it has acquired Loupedeck, a company based in Helsinki.

For those not familiar with Loupedeck, the company specializes in the marketing and distribution of the Loupedeck+, its flagship editing console designed for live streams, as well as video and audio editing on the fly. Founded in 2016, the company competes with other similar products such as the Stream Deck. Speaking about the acquisition, Ujesh Desai, General Manager of Logitech G states:

“Empowering streamers, creators and gamers is a joint passion of Loupedeck and Logitech. Together we are focused on removing all barriers so they can create, edit and stream without limits… This acquisition augments Logitech’s product portfolio today and accelerates our software ambitions of enabling keyboards, mice and more to become smarter and contextually aware, creating a better experience for audiences across Logitech.”

It’s clear that this new endeavour most likely points to Logitech strengthening their streaming product offerings for users who are looking to invest in such equipment. Back in June, the company underwent a massive restructuring of several of its sub-brands, including its popular Blue microphone line.
