Elevate your voice calls with EKSAtelecom’s H16 professional wireless headset

During the pandemic, many companies were forced to switch to the work from home concept. This in turn created some issues, because now employees were forced to attend meetings from home, and since not everyone necessarily owns a fancy webcam or a high quality microphone, this resulted in a less than ideal experience.

If anything, this has highlighted the importance of having good equipment so that if you ever find yourself in a similar situation where you might need to speak to clients in another country, at the very least having a good webcam and microphone means that both your video and audio will come through clearly, presenting a more professional image.

If you’re looking to step up your audio game, then EKSAtelecom’s H16 wireless headset could be an accessory to consider, and here’s why.

Design and comfort

The H16 headset has been designed to be worn for extended periods of time, and when it comes to such devices, comfort is obviously key. The H16 feature soft, breathable earpads made from protein leather that are friendly on your skin, and they also don’t exert too much pressure on your head and ears while it is being worn, which means that if you wear it for hours, you won’t walk away with as much ear fatigue compared to other brands.

It has also been created with the on-ear design, which means that the earcups rest on your ears instead of cupping them completely. While some might argue that over-ear designs are better for audio quality, in some cases on-ear might be preferred. This is because it doesn’t block out sound completely so you can still hear what’s going on around you, like if a co-worker or your boss is trying to speak with you.

The H16 featurs a headband that also comes with a built-in cushion at the top that allows it to rest comfortably on top of your head. The headset itself is also wireless in design, which helps give it a cleaner look and there is a magentic cover that hides the dongle so that you can easily find it when you need it, and stow it away when not in use so that you don’t lose it.

EKSAtelecom has also included a microphone arm that can be swiveled upwards when not in use, or pulled down when you need to use it. While some headsets use integrated microphones, having a microphone arm means that you have more flexibilty when it comes to positioning it so that it can capture your voice better while at the same time eliminating the possibility of the microphone picking up unwanted background audio.

There is also a built-in dedicated mute button so if you need to mute your microphone quickly, all you need to do is press it instead of having to fiddle with software on your PC.

Crystal clear voice

Speaking of audio, this brings us to the next feature of the EKSAtelecom H16, its built-in microphone and the quality you can look forward to.

According to the company, they claim that the headset is powered by AI and uses environmental noise cancellation technology. This means that the microphone is designed to focus on your voice instead of noise around you. For example if you’re working from home, there might be sounds coming from other people around you, the TV, the kitchen, and so on.

This is not conducive if you’re trying to host a business meeting, but with the use of the company’s AI-powered ENC technology, they claim that it can eliminate 99.8% of background noise, and can even reduce noise by as much as over 42dB. This allows your voice to cut through cleanly so that people on your conference call can hear you.

Hi-fidelity audio

Now, what good are a set of headphones if you sound good, but the audio coming through the headphones sounds bad? Thankfully, the company has considered both audio coming from you and from other sources.

The H16 headset features 40mm drivers and has a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz. They claim that with these drivers, it will be able to deliver rich bass, natural mids, and crisp highs. While some might prefer a focus on the highs or a focus on the low-ends, the H16s actually make for a great all-rounder with its 40mm drivers.

If you want to use the headset for conference calls, that’s fine, but if you also want to use it while you’re playing games, listening to music, or watching movies, it will be able to do that as well just fine.

Multiple connectivity options

A lot of wireless headsets these days largely rely on Bluetooth. This is fine, but what if you’re trying to use the headset with a desktop PC? Not many desktop PCs come with Bluetooth support, which is why the H16 is so convenient.

The headset offers users the ability to connect either using Bluetooth, or through a wireless dongle that you can plug into your PC’s USB port. As we mentioned earlier, the headset has a magnetic cover that lets you stow the dongle away when not in use so you won’t lose it accidentally.

The option to connect either via Bluetooth or the wireless dongle gives users more freedom and flexibility when it comes to connectivity. If you do prefer Bluetooth, note that it uses Bluetooth 5.2 and according to the company, it has a pretty long range of up to 50ft/15m, so if you want to walk around wearing it while at home, you should be able to without losing the connection.

The use of Bluetooth 5.2 instead of Bluetooth 4.2 or Bluetooth 5 means that it has better stability in its connection along with lower latency which might be important when watching videos or playing games.

Speaking of which, since it is a wireless headset it will rely on batteries to keep it powered. Thankfully, the battery life of the H16s are pretty long. EKSAtelecom claims that it will be able to last for up to 55 hours, so unless you’re using it non-stop, 55 hours should be more enough to last you through a work week and then some. It also supports fast charging via USB-C, where plugging it in for two hours will recharge it back to full.

So, if the EKSAtelecom H16 wireless Bluetooth headset sounds like something you might be interested in, it is priced at $55.99.
