Last year when Samsung failed to launch the Galaxy S22 FE, many assumed that the FE series could be dead. But that doesn’t appear to be the case as Samsung could be launching the Galaxy S23 FE later this year.
This is because there is a report from GalaxyClub.nl which revealed that the battery pack for the Galaxy S23 FE has recently been certified, suggesting that the handset could indeed be in the works and that it might be launching in the near future. It was also noted that the battery is made by Amperex, the same company that Samsung usually sources from for its mid-range phones.
According to the rumors, the Galaxy S23 FE, unlike its non-FE siblings, will not be using Qualcomm’s chipsets. Instead, it is rumored to be powered by Samsung’s very own Exynos 2200 chipset and will come with 6-8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 128-256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery.
On the camera side of things, the Galaxy S23 FE is rumored to be packing a wide-angle 50MP camera that will be accompanied by a 8MP 3x telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultra wide-angle lens. It all sounds like what you might expect from a mid-range phone. There’s no word on a launch date or pricing yet, but hopefully we’ll have more details soon.
