Samsung’s new foldables will be launching this July

0

Last week, Samsung hinted that they might be holding its next Unpacked event in its home country of South Korea. It looks like that is indeed what will be happening as the company has since confirmed that their next Unpacked event will be held this coming July in Seoul at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam.

Samsung has also confirmed that the event will be focused on its upcoming foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, so if you are thinking of getting a new foldable phone, then this is an event to look forward to.

It’s interesting that the event will be held in July. Previously, the company would host its events in August, but there were rumors that due to Google’s Pixel Fold, the company would be moving up its next event to July so as to shift the attention to its own foldable phones, which we guess will now be happening.

In terms of the specs and features, the Fold 5 isn’t expected to sport a huge redesign. The rumors are claiming that we might see the use of a new hinge design, but otherwise the phone is expected to remain largely the same. The biggest change will be to the Flip 5, where the phone is rumored to come with a larger external display, similar to the recently-announced Motorola Razr+.
