Xiaomi Band 8 will be announced next week

Yesterday, Xiaomi confirmed that they would be hosting an event next week on the 18th of April where the Xiaomi 13 Ultra would be announced. It turns out that this event won’t be exclusively about the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and that we will see other Xiaomi products announced as well.

This includes the Xiaomi Band 8, which will be the company’s latest fitness tracker and the successor to the Xiaomi Band 7 which was announced back in 2022. Details on the wearable are scarce at this point in time, but the company did tease the design of the fitness tracker on its website.

We suppose the biggest difference that we can see is how Xiaomi will be changing up the design ever-so-slightly. For starters, it seems that the Xiaomi Band 8 will now feature lugs in which the straps are attached, whereas the previous model the bands attached directly to the tracker’s body.

It also appears that Xiaomi will be offering more band options where it now looks a bit more fashionable, suggesting that the company could be changing the way the device is positioned, where they might be hoping that people view it more as a fashion accessory rather than a fitness tracker. We’ll have more details come next week, so be sure to check back with us then for the updates!
