A New LOTR Mobile Game is Launching Soon!

If you were in the mood for some Middle-Earth action on your smartphone, then you might be thrilled to know that “The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle Earth” is currently available for pre-registration for mobile phone users. Published by Electronic Arts, The game is scheduled for a May 10 release in several regions worldwide, and will arrive in a free-to-play format.

It should be noted however that players who tried out the game during its Limited Territory Launch phase will have to start over, although the game’s official webpage does clarify the following:

“…Account progress and unlocked items earned during the Limited Territory Launch period will be reset… Any items you purchased via IAPs during the Limited Territory Launch will be converted back into in-game currency of an equivalent value and credited to your account when the game comes back online. As a token of appreciation for our Limited Territory Launch players: you will also receive an extra 25% bonus of applicable Gems, Gold, and Unit XP purchased credited to your account!

Please note that you must use the same account you used for the Limited Territory Launch when you log in after the account reset to access your credits.”

As for hardware requirements, Heroes of Middle Earth will run on phones with at least an ARM Quad Core 1.6GHZ (or higher) CPU, 2GB of RAM, and Android 5. Additionally, the game will be available in most regions worldwide, with the exception of a few countries.
