Pretty much all smartwatches these days offer fitness tracking. For the most part, how it measures your activity is accomplished through the use of the heart rate sensor, accelerometer, GPS, and so on.
In some cases, like running, it can be pretty accurate, but what if you’re using an exercise machine? The good news is that if you’re a Samsung smartwatch owner who has access to one of Peloton’s exercise machines, you might be pleased to hear that Samsung and Peloton have teamed up.
With this new partnership, basically what this means is that owners of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 or Galaxy Watch 5 will be able to download Peloton’s app from the Play Store and then connect it to one of the company’s exercise machines, like the Peloton Bike, Bike+, Tread, Row, and Guide.
By being able to connect directly to an exercise machine, it should help to yield more accurate results when working out. You’ll also be able to check all your stats while using these machines, and use the app to keep track of your progress and to check your metrics, which is pretty cool.
The app is already live and available for download via the Play Store, so if you own a Peloton exercise machine or have access to one, then this is definitely worth checking out.
