Base Samsung Galaxy S24 models could be getting an upgrade

0

Usually if you want the best of the best phone, you’d have to spring for the top-of-the-line model. In Samsung’s case, it would be the Galaxy S23 Ultra which has the best specs and best features out of the entire lineup. The only problem is that the Ultra models are also the most expensive.

For those who are planning on getting the Galaxy S24 in 2024, you could be in luck. This is because according to the latest rumors from tipster Tarun Vats, it looks like Samsung could be giving the base models an upgrade in the RAM and storage department.

The tweet claims that Samsung could be upgrading the RAM from 8GB to 12GB for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus, and that storage could also be bumped for the base models from a paltry 128GB to something a bit more respectable at 256GB. As for the Ultra model, the tipster claims that we could see RAM improved to 16GB.

It is most definitely too early to be talking about the Galaxy S24 models, especially since it will be about a year before we see it, but if the tweet is accurate, it is good news. It is unclear if Samsung will be raising the prices of its phones as well since more RAM + storage will definitely cost more, but hopefully that won’t be the case.
