When gaming smartphones first arrived on the scene, we had to admit that we thought they were just a novel trend that would eventually die out, but that hardly seems to be the case because it looks like ASUS is close to launching the seventh iteration of its ROG Phone lineup, the ASUS ROG Phone 7.
According to ASUS, the company has announced that the launch of the ROG Phone 7 will be taking place on the 13th of April, which noted by Android Central is slightly earlier than the launch of the company’s previous gaming handset, the ROG Phone 6.
We also expect that ASUS will maintain some of the specs from the ROG Phone 6, like its display with a 165Hz refresh rate, unless the company decides to bump the refresh rate up even higher. We also expect similar, if not better, cooling systems along with software features that will optimize the mobile gaming experience.
Either way, we should have more details in the coming weeks, so check back with us on the 13th of April for all the official details.
