Streamview’s Nokia-branded Controller will soon be Available for Purchase

A while back, we got word that Nokia was collaborating with European OEM Streamview in developing a Nokia-branded wireless game controller. It looks like the product will soon be available for purchase, as spotted by the folks over at Nokiamob.

In terms of features, the Nokia Game Controller 5000 will come with Google Assistant voice functionality, dual built-in vibration motors, six-axis gyroscope, a rechargeable battery with up to 14 hours of usage, and compatibility with Android TVs, Android Streaming Devices and Android Phones.

In terms of styling, the controller will maintain a “standard” design as far as game controllers go, with a recognizable shape that houses your usual array of face buttons, directional pad, shoulder and trigger buttons, analog sticks, as well as additional inputs for menus and connectivity.

At the moment, there’s no official date of availability yet, but Streamview’s website currently lists the product as “available soon.” This is one of the more “unique” Nokia-branded devices that we’ve seen lately, as the brand is more known for its Android phones and Wi-Fi hardware.
