New OnePlus Phone Expected to Launch in July

OnePlus’ strategy of launching more handsets for different price brackets has been seen by some as a far-cry from the company’s origins of being an enthusiast-oriented smartphone brand. That hasn’t stopped OnePlus though, and this new leaks only shows the company’s push for more market coverage.

A Twitter post from tech leaker @OnLeaks originally revealed the budget-friendly OnePlus phone, which is expected to launch in July. Dubbed the OnePlus Nord CE 3, a full specs sheet reveals that it will launch with a 6.72-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and in-display fingerprint sensor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G SoC, with configurations of 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. As for cameras, the phone will come with a triple-camera setup, with a 50MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 16MP front camera. Other specs include a 5000 mAh battery with support for 80W fast-charging.

The OnePlus “Nord” brand was originally launched back in 2020 with a single handset. The device was a more affordable model in the company’s Android phone range, offering cash-conscious consumers a viable alternative.

The Nord CE 3 isn’t the only OnePlus phone set to arrive soon, though – OnePlus itself teased a preview of its upcoming smartphone, the Ace 2V, confirming several hardware specifications and a release date scheduled for March 7 in China.
