Browsers like Google’s Chrome let you save bookmarks of your favorite websites or pages that you plan on revisiting again. Maybe you’ve bookmarked a page for a recipe, or for research, or for whatever reason, but when you visit it again, you might have forgotten why you saved it in the first place.
The good news is that in a future Chrome update, Google is introducing a new feature that will allow users to add notes to their favorite websites. This feature has been in development for the past few months, but thanks to Redditor Leopeva64, users can actually toggle on the feature to try it out for themselves.
It’s actually a very straightforward feature. All users need to do is right-click the page they are visiting and click “Add a note”. From there, users can just jot down whatever they want to and click “Add” to save it for the future. This will give more context to bookmarks and websites that you’re reading, similar to how when you’re reading a book you might jot down some notes that you can reference again later.
At the moment, the notes feature only works on the page itself, meaning that you can add notes to specific parts of a website like you would on a Google Docs document, but with Chrome already allowing users to link to specific portions of text on a website, who knows, maybe a future update will help refine the feature even more.
