February Security Update Arrives for Nokia X30, G60

0

If you own a Nokia X30 or G60, then you might want to check your phone for the latest security patch. Nokia has finally rolled out the February 2023 security update for the aforementioned phones, with some general fixes for stability and overall security.

The February update for Nokia X30 5G is now available for users in the UK and Europe, and comes in at around 97.68 MB, while the update for G60 5G is a bit smaller with only 26.83 MB. No major features come with the update however, hence the small overall size. The update should roll out to more users and regions in the upcoming days and weeks.

In other Nokia news, it’s expected that the Finnish telecom giant might launch a new budget smartphone soon, according to online leaks. Currently dubbed the “Nokia G22,” the device was recently spotted in a Geekbench listing, with a single-core score of 308 and a multi-core score of 1094. The phone will include a Unisoc-branded chipset, around 4GB of RAM, and a rather old Android 12 software version onboard. In any case, there’s no official word from Nokia about the device yet, although we imagine that we might hear an announcement soon.

To check for the update, head to Settings System System Update to allow your device to check for the latest software patch available.
