These Samsung phones will be eligible for Android 14

The other day, Google officially announced the developer preview for Android 14, and based on Google’s release schedule, we can probably expect to see Android 14 make its way onto eligible handsets around the third quarter of the year.

Now, speaking of eligible handsets, if you own a Samsung phone and are wondering if you might be able to expect the Android 14 update, the folks over at SamMobile have put together a list of devices that should qualify. This is based on Samsung’s current update policy which will basically cover phones that are up to three years old.

This means in terms of eligibility, it will cover the Samsung Galaxy S21 series up to the Galaxy S23 series. It will also cover the Flip 3 and Fold 3 devices up to the Flip 4 and Fold 4, as well as a bunch of Galaxy A-series of handsets which includes the A04s, A13, A14, A23, A33, A53, A53, A72, and the A73.

It will also cover the Galaxy M23, M33 5G, and the M53 5G, along with the Xcover 6 Pro. It will also be available for tablets like the Galaxy Tab series. So, if you happen to own any of these phones, it is almost guaranteed that you will receive the Android 14 update, but when exactly remains to be seen.

To be fair to Samsung, the company has been relatively quick when it comes to pushing out updates so hopefully it will start rolling out by the fourth quarter of 2023.
