These are essentially a set of RGB light sticks and an RGB strip combined with a control hub that will be able to change its lighting depending on what’s going on in the game. While this concept isn’t new, what Govee has done is incorporate the use of proprietary AI technology that can learn and identify key moments to help create real-time lighting effects.
This means that instead of just cycling through colors or trying to match the colors shown on your screen, the use of AI means that it will be smarter at reproducing lights and colors. It is also HDMI compatible which means that it can offer up to a 240Hz refresh rate.
According to Govee, how they managed to achieve this is with the use of AI SoC chips and their own proprietary CogniGlow algorithm. With the ability to make 14.4 trillion calculations per second, it can help reproduce 30 customized game lighting effects for each game, meaning that no two games will be alike.
To top it off, Govee announced that they will also be working to integrate the Matter standard into its products, meaning that eventually, regardless of what smart speaker or smart home system that you’re using, you’ll be able to control the company’s products with your mobile device or smart speaker system.
