This could be Google’s Pixel roadmap for the next three years

Usually when a company like Google releases a new phone, there is a good chance that future handsets are already in the development and planning stages. This is because R&D needs to be done, testing, prototyping, and more, so it’s not that surprising that Google has planned quite far ahead for its Pixel lineup.

This is according to a recent report from 9to5Google who have revealed a potential roadmap for the next three years worth of Google Pixel devices. We say devices because it appears that Google might have a Pixel tablet in the works as well.

According to the report, 2023 is expected to introduce the Google Pixel 7a, the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, as well as the long-awaited and much-rumored Pixel Fold. It is also expected to see a new “Pro” Pixel Tablet. As for 2024, Google will continue their tradition of introducing their “A” series of phones with the Pixel 8a, except that it might be more expensive than the previous versions by about $50.

There is also expected to be three Pixel 9 devices, a base model and two Pro models with different display sizes at 6.3-inches and 6.9-inches respectively, as well as the follow up to the 2023 Pixel Fold.

Then come 2025, there is no mention of a Pixel 9a. Instead, Google could launch a smaller Pixel 10, followed by a smaller Pixel 10 Pro and a larger Pixel 10 Pro, and a flip style foldable. Keep in mind that none of this is confirmed and as we have seen in the past, projects can be changed or cancelled depending on multiple factors, so while these might be the devices Google has planned, they might not necessarily be set in stone so take it with a grain of salt for now.
