New Updates Arrive for Samsung’s Bixby App

0

Samsung’s been on a roll lately, releasing updates left and right for its apps and devices – its latest software patch for the Bixby Voice app is arriving for select Samsung handsets, and it comes with new improvements, features, stability updates, as well as a bit of a facelift.

The voice assistant app is receiving update version number 3.2.45.16, and comes with a handful of handy new features including the “Talk to Bixby without wake-up,” which works with the native phone app, although it has now been updated for more compatibility with third-party applications and software. Users can order Bixby to directly answer calls without handling the phone, adding some much-welcome functionality to the assistant app.

The new update also comes with “Voice Filter,” which reduces background noise for better voice recognition in loud environments. This feature can be accessed by turning on ‘Respond to my voice’ and ‘On-device mode’ in the app’s settings. The latest update also adds some new animations to Bixby, which can be viewed when using the app.

With that said, the update is currently only available for Samsung devices with One UI 5.0 and Android 13, and will be rolling out gradually to more devices in more regions worldwide.
