The growing mainstream adoption of Android-powered foldable smartphones has certainly been an interesting development in the past fewy years, with major brands like Samsung, Microsoft, and Huawei each releasing their own take on how foldable smartphones should look and function. With that said, it seems like Honor is set to launch its latest entry in the foldable smartphone market, the Honor Magic Vs.
According to teaser images from the Chinese brand, Honor’s follow-up to the Magic V will come with a triple-camera set-up, accompanied by a selfie camera embedded in a display with similar specifications to the Magic V. With that said though, we might see an upgrade in terms of internal specs, such as a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which takes over for the 8 Gen 1 on the previous model.
Additionally, the device might get a larger 5,000 mAh battery, which is larger than the 4,750 mAh unit in the Honor Magic V. It’s rumored that it will retain the same 66W fast-charging feature, although of course nothing is “fully official” at this point unless Honor says so.
The device is expected to be announced alongside the Honor 80 series phones on November 23rd, which will come in several variants including a base Honor 80 model, Honor 80 Pro, Honor 80 Pro Plus, and Honor 80 SE.
