New Leaks Point to Upcoming Pixel Devices

0

With the release of the newest Pixel 7 and 7 Pro devices, Google has raised the bar for its Pixel flagship smartphone line, offering the latest in hardware and software. With that said though, it looks like Google is quickly working on a follow-up act, according to some leaks online.

A Tweet from online tech informant Roland Quandt points to two new Pixel phones allegedly in development, which are codenamed “Husky” and “Shiba.” According to the post, the new handsets will be equipped with a newer SoC (most likely an early successor to the Tensor G2), increased RAM, and “proper hi-res screens.”

Given that the Tensor G2 isn’t that much of an upgrade compared to its predecessor in terms of raw power, it would be interesting to see the direction Google is headed with these new devices in terms of performance, should these devices be announced in the future. As for the display technology, it is predicted that “Husky” will be the more premium device of the two, with a higher resolution 2822×1344 pixel display. On the other hand, “Shiba” will come with a 2268x1080p screen.

Of course, there’s still no official word from Google, so we’ll have to do a bit more waiting for further developments regarding these two devices.
