We might be waiting a while before we see the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9

The way we use our tablets, there’s really no need for them to be updated on an annual basis, although it would be nice to see some options regarding upgrades. Now, if the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series wasn’t for you and you were hoping the Galaxy Tab S9 would do the trick, you might be in for a wait.

According to a report from PhoneArena, apparently Samsung was supposed to kick off development on the tablet by the end of this year in time for a release in 2023. Unfortunately, it seems that Samsung’s plans might have changed because that is no longer the case, which means that it could be a while before the Galaxy Tab S9 is launched.

This seems to be in line with the Galaxy Tab S8 in which it launched abot 1.5 years after its predecessor from 2020. Assuming Samsung is keeping to its timeline, it means that it could be towards the end of 2023 that we see the Galaxy Tab S9, or in early 2024. But like we said, tablets sometimes don’t always get refreshed annually, so we suppose this is kind of par for the course.

In the meantime, if you desperately need an Android tablet, the Galaxy Tab S8 series is one of the best Android tablets out there in the market today and might be worth checking out. Alternatively, Google debuted their brand new Pixel tablet just last week so that could also be worth looking at if you’re after the Google experience.
