In the majority of Google’s teaser images for the Pixel Watch, the company has opted to use simple-looking watch faces, and maybe we know why as it could have been a way for the company to disguise how thick the bezels of the watch really are.
In a series of images that WinFuture.de’s Roland Quandt has posted onto Twitter, there are some additional UI images of the Pixel Watch that reveal just how thick the bezels on the smartwatch really are, and boy, they are thick.

The images were apparently taken from Japanese retailer’s website Joshin, although the images themselves look like they might have actually been part of Pixel Watch’s marketing materials. In particular, there’s one image that shows the heart rate app and based on how the UI looks, it confirms previously speculation that the bezels of the smartwatch are thicker than Google had let on.
Now, we should note that this isn’t a bad thing. Design is subjective and for some, the overall design of the Pixel Watch is still much better than other brands. Plus there’s also functionality, some users might only want to use it to track their workouts so having thick bezels doesn’t matter as long as it gets the job done.
Either way, we’ll have more details at Google’s event tomorrow, so check back with us then for more updates. In the meantime, what do you think of the thick bezels? Does it matter to you?
