One of the things many people look forward to in a new smartphone is a new design. While hardware internals and performance obviously matters, the actual physical design is what we see daily, so clearly that plays a major role in helping people decide if they want that new phone or not.
Unfortunately for those looking forward to the Samsung Galaxy S23, prepare to be disappointed. According to leakster Ice Universe, they are claiming that for the Galaxy S23, its design is expected to be almost identical to that of the Galaxy S22.
Small difference between S22 and S23, Samsung widened all four bezels for the S23 by 0.15mm, it looks bulkier than the S22, I can't understand why Samsung does this, I have to again suspect that there is a spy inside Samsung. pic.twitter.com/KwdelDbHrF

As you can see in the tweet above, the only differences will be in the bezel sizes where Samsung will actually be making the bezels bigger all around by about 0.15mm. In day to day use we doubt that anyone can really tell or feel the difference, but it also means that current Galaxy S22 cases won’t fit the Galaxy S23.
We’re not sure if there are going to be changes made to the back of the phone. There have been rumors claiming that the camera on the Galaxy S23 will be upgraded to 200MP, but that might be exclusive to the Ultra model, and even then, it is possible that Samsung could continue to use the same design.
Either way, it’s best to take this with a grain of salt for now, but like we said, those hoping for a new design should prepare to be disappointed.
