Sony Teases Gaming-related Announcement

Fresh off the official reveal of its newest Xperia 5 IV handset, Sony has teased an upcoming announcement that hints at a new gaming-related product. The announcement was made by way of the company’s official Twitter account, although not much information was revealed.

What is made clear however, is that the event will be done online via a YouTube stream. Sony fans and mobile gamers will want to mark their calendars for the 12th of September at 1:00 PM (Japan time) for the unveiling, which comes with the tagline “Born to game.” The post also says that the mystery product is “made for streamers and pro gamers.”

In recent Sony news, the company finally launched its new Xperia 5 IV, which comes with a wide range of features like a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, and aims at enticing creators with features like Sony’s 360 Reality Audio and the Music Pro app, that on paper allows for professional-sounding music and vocal recordings. The phone launches later in October with a rather hefty expensive price tag of around $1,000.

As for next week’s announcement though, we’ll just have to wait and see what Sony has in store for its fans (that is unless someone leaks the entire thing).
