So Google has confirmed that they will be officially announcing the Pixel 7 series in full on the 6th of October at its Made by Google event. The event is also expected to see Google announce the Pixel Watch and give it a proper introduction beyond what was unveiled at I/O earlier this year, but that’s not all.
As spotted by 9to5Google, under Google’s “Ideas & Info” section on its website, the company mentions that they will be making “additions to the Nest smart home portfolio”. At this point it is unclear what Google could be announcing regarding new Nest products, but recently there have been rumors and signs suggesting a new Nest WiFi could be in development with support for WiFi 6E.
Google had also mentioned last September that a new 2nd gen Nest Doorbell will be launching, so we reckon that this Pixel event could be a good time as any to officially announce it. Also, while not necessarily related to Nest, there have been reports that a new and more affordable Chromecast could also be in the works, so we could see that device announced alongside the Pixel 7 phones as well.
It sounds like it is going to be quite a jam packed event with a ton of announcements and new products, so if you’re someone who lives quite deeply in the Google ecosystem, then this upcoming event is one you won’t want to miss out on.
