One UI 5.0 Beta 2 Arrives for the UK & India
A while back, Samsung finally launched the official One UI 5.0 Beta for Galaxy S22 series owners in the United States, Germany, and South Korean markets, and it seems that it’s finally been made available for the United Kingdom and India as well. The latest version comes in at around 1.2GB worth of data, which is quite large as far as firmware updates go.
More specifically, the current beta release is the second version, which brings a ton of new features to the S22 series devices, in addition to stability and security updates.
Based on Android 13, One UI 5.0 comes with an updated set of app icons, a “Smart suggestions” widget, “Maintenance Mode,” which hides personal data should you send your phone in for repairs, and a “Privacy Detection” feature that notifies users when they’re about to share sensitive photos or files like ID cards and credit cards.
Additionally, several other updates including fixes for auto screen rotation, S Pen features, lock screen, empty notification panel, as well as the media player for example, have been addressed with the new beta firmware. Samsung does state that some issues might be present while using the Digital Key feature in Samsung Wallet, in which case users should delete the digital key and register it again.
