Seeing as how Meta owns some of the world’s largest social media networks, it makes sense that there are a lot of features that are shared between these platforms. For example, users who post Stories on Instagram have the option to share it on Facebook at the same time, making it easier to post to multiple platforms at once.
Now it looks like Instagram is bringing another cross-post feature to Facebook, and this time it comes in the form of Reels. Now whenever users post Reels onto Instagram, they will be given the option of posting it onto Facebook as well, so if you’re particularly active on both platforms, this feature will make your life a lot easier, especially for social media managers.
For those unfamiliar, Reels is Instagram’s answer to TikTok. It allows users to create videos with sound and visual effects, attach songs, and more. Essentially it is more or less the same as TikTok except it’s owned by Meta.
In addition to supporting cross-posting of Reels from Instagram to Facebook, Meta is also adding support for the “Add Yours” sticker to Facebook Reels. This allows users to quickly make a Reel based on an existing one on the spot. It was previously only available on Instagram, but this update will make it available on Facebook as well.
