0

Samsung has lately improved its software update schedule, allowing more of its devices to receive timely updates which enhance user experience and remove unwanted bugs as well. With that said, the company has finally started rolling out its latest software patch for the Galaxy S20 FE. The newest update addresses some issues with Android, as well as the latest August 2022 Android update.

The new update comes with software version number G780FXXU9DVG5, and has initially been launched in Russia, although it’s expected that more regions might soon receive the update. The August 2022 software patch brings some fixes for security and stability issues for the smartphone, which include hijack vulnerabilities in DeX for PC and Knox VPN.

Launched back in October of 2020, the Galaxy S20 FE came in two variants which featured either a Samsung Exynos or Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, a 6.5-inch AMOLED display, a triple-camera array, and launched with Android 10, with a later update to Android 12. The phone has since been succeeded by the Galaxy S21 FE, which was released earlier this year.

To check if your phone can download the newest update, simply head into your “Settings” app, head over to “Software Update” and proceed to tap on “Download and Install” to begin the update process.
