Recently, it was revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 could come with a 3-day battery life. While this is far from other smartwatches that offer 7 days and up to 14 days, it is still an improvement over its predecessor, but it looks like longer-lasting battery won’t be the only improvement.
According to a tweet by SnoopyTech, it seems that the Galaxy Watch 5 could come with a faster charger, 10W over the Galaxy Watch 4’s 5W. The tweet claims that this will allow the watch to go from 0-45% in just 30 minutes. This is versus the Galaxy Watch 4 where Samsung advertised that it would take a little under two hours to get to full.

As we haven’t test it yet and Samsung hasn’t officially announced anything, it’s hard to say how accurate these claims are, but it could be something to look forward to. Also, we have to wonder if this 10W charger will work with the Galaxy Watch 4, which if it does could possibly help make up for the subpar battery life.
Samsung will be officially announcing the Galaxy Watch 5 at its Unpacked event which will be held on the 10th of August. The event will also see the company unveil its latest foldables – the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, both of which are open for reservation with $200 in Samsung Credit.
