Google Pixel 7 series tipped for October launch

Back in May, Google gave us the first official glimpse at their upcoming smartphones, the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. The company did not mention when they would be released, but now thanks to a report from FrontPageTech, we might have an idea.

The report claims that based on their “very reputable sources”, both the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro are expected to be launched in October. The report also states that pre-orders will take place on the 6th of October, which means that the handset’s announcement will be set for that day as well, and that the phones will be officially released on the 13th of October, a week later.

While there’s no way to confirm this, Jon Prosser does have a pretty good reputation and track record for these leaks, but in case that wasn’t enough, it should be noted that the Pixel 6 series were also launched in October. This means that an October launch for the Pixel 7 series isn’t entirely out of the question, and it’s only a matter of specifics.

The event is also expected to see Google launch other products, one of which is the long-awaited Pixel Watch that was similarly shown off at I/O 2022. Also, if the rumors are true, there have been talks about the possibility of a Pixel 7 Ultra along with a Pixel Fold that we’ve been hearing about for quite a while now.

Needless to say this should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully Google will have some official news to share with us soon.
